Research on Research Registry and Hub online RoR Chatter sessions

As part of the dissemination plan for the RoR registry/hub, we organise online discussion that we named RoR Chatter sessions. The sessions are one hour long in a semi-structured fashion where presenter(s) lead a discussion on a topic of interest to the community. The events are free and advertised by email to the community who have registered to the hub and on Twitter to more general audiences. The day and time of the calls will change throughout the week to provide opportunities to people in different time zones to join in.

The sessions aim to:

  • Bring in groups with different interests
  • Provide opportunities to discuss current or completed projects/studies
  • Discuss Research on Research topics of interest, such as:
    • Randomisation in research funding
    • Peer review
    • Rewards and recognition systems
    • Risk of bias in clinical trials
    • The use of narrative CVs in funding decisions
    • PPI contributions to research
    • Encourage conversations between funders and research communities and between researchers
